    Default standard speaker hole size in 94 vr berlina?

    hey guys

    im just wondering what the standard speaker hole size would be in my 94 vr berlina? (front n rear)
    also im looking at getting a set of 6x9 sony xplode 300watt speakers as they are on special but im not sure if they will fit straight into the original speaker whole? :S

    any help will be appreciated thanks

    i dont think they fit straight into the hole without any cutting of metal.

    Nah they wouldn't fit. The standard size is 6"

    ahh right thanks for that. hmm looks like i'll be looking around for some standard size speakers instead than thanks for that guys

    I think the fronts can fit 6" round speakers, and for the rear I used a small angled riser to fit a pair of 6x9's without hacking into the parcel shelf.

    i fitted 6.5" in the rear and 6" in the front in my VS

    did you have any troubles or did they go straight in? if they went straight i'll do that get a couple 6.5" n 6" surely vr - vs would be the same

    Remember that 6" or 6.5" refers to the cone size, not the basket size. A lot of 6 & 6.5" speakers will have the same basket size. The magnet is what causes a lot of trouble when mounting big speakers in the front.

    Some 6" will go straight in, some won't.
    Some 6.5" will go straight in, some won't

    Just for a little bit of advice, Alpine Type S 6.5' speakers fit in the front fine so they should do the rear as well and i believe Alpine Type R would be the same.

    They screwed straight into the original holes with no cutting or drilling. This is what i have:
    6" Kicker KS600 195W Front Speakers
    6.5" Sony 300W 4 Way Rear Speakers
