    Question ecu problems

hey guys i drive a 1997 vs commodore and ever since i got a new 2.5" catback exhaust i've noticed that the car doesn't pickup wen foot down. it started off with a delay to the cars reaction but more resently has not reacted to me puttin my foot down at all. everytime i reset my ecu the car doesnt have this problem and runs how it should (it flys) but within a days time the car slowly goes back to its slump of not picking up wen it should. i bought a performance chip on hopes to fix this problem but the only time it works is wen the ecu is reset. and once again in a days time the car still returns to the slump.

i have no idea wat to do can anyone help????
    cheers

Check for any code errors, see what comes up.

The ecu in a VS is a self learning computer so it is affected by many driving conditions and adjust accordinly thats why it keeps going back to the "slump", the type of fuel also has a big effect on it if it is poor quality fuel it will retard the timing and you end up with less power

So try running it on premiun for a couple of weeks and also it might be time to get a chip

hey i will try premium fuel but i dunno how that will make a difference on the ecu memory . yeh i do have a performance chip it runs really well but does shit all wen it goes in that 'slump'

thanks for that wombles i'll try and test car for those errors
