Default VN diff and 5spd into a VS?

If been offered an LSD and 5spd gearbox from a VN SS, just wondering would these go into my VS?

    Thanks.

Your VS only a 6? if so you cant use the gearbox, however im pretty sure VS exec's are all live axle so you can use the LSD from the vn

not really the input shaft on the v8 T5 is different length, it might be possible to open the box and replace the input shaft.. but would be more hassle than its worth in my opinion.

thats a shame, would have been nice to add an LSD and 5spd to my VS... guess an LSD and shift kit will have to do.

is the tail shaft from my VS going to match up ok with the VN LSD?

Hi,The vn diff will fit into a vr/vs but it is about an inch narrower and looks funny, unless you've got some wide rims to fit to it.A mate fitted a vn lsd to his vr and didnt realise it was different until someone pointed it out to him.when he showed me you could just see it was a tiny bit narrower.I helped him remove it,he went back to an open wheel diff from a vs.We sat the diffs side by side, and they are exactly the same just an inch narrower for the one from the vn

News to me i always thought vn-vs live axle should have the same diff, sure its not the rotors that make up the extra width?

I think your mate fitted a VL diff to his vr.

Diff was out of a vn v6 s model,I had seen the car it came from. But definitely narrower when sat side by side.I thought they would be the same too until I looked at the vr with the diff in it.You could see it was narrower.Unless someone fitted a vl diff to the vn maybe. The brake rotors were the same for both diffs and didnt need swapping.Someone here will know for sure.
