    Default 2.5" exhaust ?

Hey i got a 2.5" exhaust put on my caprice a while back and they put a resonator on the back even know i said not to , on my old car i had no resi and it sounded better imo, would i just be able to cut the ressi off and leave the end of the exhaust about a foot and a half from the rear of the car and have the same sound as my old car or will it be louder now about a foot and a half of pipe is missing and not exiting the rear bumper?

I might be alright but would be more droney as its exiting under the car, i guess you can try it and if its no good after a week take it to an exhaust shop.

hotdog! btw wields are more likely to rust then piping from my experience. Did they put a resi on cause thats the only tail pipe they had? did they just want more cash? was it going to be illigely loud with out the resi (doubt it tho)

nah pretty sure it was just a lukey system and they have extended it after the cat to fit a stato , just gonna leave it for now put my extractors on and see how it sounds, bit weird takes about 10 mins of driving until you get a decent sound out of it
