VS Ute V6 Stopping

Hello All,

I have a VS V6 Ute and i'm having the following problem that i'm hoping someone could assist with.

A couple of times now i have gotten into the car after driving somewhere and it wont start, i can hear the fuel pump run and it's duel fuel and wont start on either fuel so i'm guessing it's not fuel.
It's only stopped ones whilst driving at speed but came back to life before it rolled to a halt.

I thought as most and changed the coil pack and module and this did nothing, i changed the pack and module whilst it would not start. I had it put onto a truck and the truck driver was able to start it to get it off the truck.
I guess i have a couple of questions, one would be does anyone have any suggestions to what the fault could be?

And the second is i have a complete 1999 VS Ute i bought for some spare and don't know what sensors would be interchangable?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the CAS (Crank Angle Sensor)

I have not checked error codes yet, i was going to look at that down the track if i had no luck here. I hvae found the error code and fault finding very limited on the VS's, ones it's running it's all good.

Do you know if the CAS is the same in the 1996 engine and the 1999 engine? I did give the CAS a thought as it's the same kind of fault as the old VL's had but i was told by someone with some background in the Auto game that this was not the problem and he wanted to put his money on the module that i changed.
