Tyre widths

Hi All
I have done some searching around the site but haven't exactly come across the info I am chasing. I am looking at putting some 245/35/19 tyres on my VS Statesman (97 model) and was just wondering if any one has done this and/or had any problems with rubbing against the car body or the front springs? I haven't made any mods in regards to ride height or anything yet, wanted to get the wheels and tryes on first before i played around with the suspension.

I think 235 is the safest size to fit without rubbing.
