    Default which speaker wires for which speaker

    guys in my 97 vs sedan im going to install a new mp3 player on the weekend ,it already has a fairly new cd player installed by autobarn but i was just wondering does any1 no if the speaker cables that come standard in the vs are labeled eg left front left rear etc so i hook em up right , and also from memory i have to just remove the centre console and the black fascia part around the heater/aircon controls to get at the strereo ? cheers muz

    VK-VZ Stereo wiring colours.

    That'll help with the wires. From memory you need to remove the whole centre section but it's been a while since i've done one so i can't remember.

    thanks for that link m8 but just 1 other question on the paperwork that came with my new jvc head unit it says this yellow wire = to a live terminal in the fuse block connecting to the car batterey [bypassing the ignition switch] constant 12v . and red wire =[to an accessory terminal in the fuse block] . but on that link it says yellow in the car is accessories ,and orange /white is constant ,im confused a bit now its been years since ive done this lol

    yep connect yellow on headunit to orange on car, and red on head unit to yellow on car.

    you cant simply match up colours as different car and head unit manufacturers use different colour schemes
