    Default How well do 18"s go on a VS

    Hey guys im putting sum slick 18" wheels on my VS how well will they go on my 5ltr irs vs. the car sits low atm will it scrub? and what will it ride/handle like. last question will it be slower and will i use more fuel, its got 16" atm

    If you have the right profile tyres there shouldn't be any difference to speed, economy or scrubbing as the rolling diameter should be the same regardless of rim size.

    Ride should be harsher because there will be less give in the lower profile sidewall but handling should improve for the same reason.

    i got 18s on my vs and its fine no scrubbing or nothing

    Now Saving for a Harrop HTV2300 Supercharger kit!

    What do you think?.. yeah its hell harsh. handles better though.. doesnt go sideways into second either haha.. soo happy with it didnt think it would make much of a difference

    Good one.

    Now you can sit back wait for all of the little screws and things to rattle loose and everything to start creaking over bumpy roads.

    Gotta love our wonderfully smooth roads here in Perth !!!

    lol....when I put 16s on mine 10 years ago, the guy that fitted them said that if I put 17s on and drove to Geraldton I would need a lacky band wrapped around my head to stop smashing my teeth together because of the s**t roads.....good to see Main Roads have been on the job since then....

    haha i havnt done to drive to perth in them yet but atleast i will be able to dodge roos with my sticky tyres haha.. and no i dont have SL'S i dont think i think its just FE2

    haha 18s lol 18s are a smaller rolling diameter then standed 15s on tyres what a stupid question my 20s dont even scrub

    18's arnt a smaller rolling diameter what are you on about?... they arnt even smaller than my 16's

    The factroy 225/50/16 has a rolling diameter of 650mm; I have 265/35/18's on my VR wagon & they have a 665mm rollout.

    if it was lower, no rear wing and clear indictors it could look alot better but alsong as you like the rims who cares what everyone else thinks?

    yeah but im guna paint the silver strip in between my tailights white this week, and fix up the missing trim on the bumper and paint all the trim red SS stylz, and also touch up all the chips on the bumper and the scratch on the back
