Default HARD shifting when engaging gears from park

The statesman gearbox has been starting to play up the last couple of times Ive driven, it is holding gears longer than normal and changing at strange times

But the main problem is when engaging gears from park it slams into gear with a jolt and jumps forward

Anyone got anyideas what it could be and how to fix .........sticking servo maybe?

Maybe try giving it a good tranny service and see how it goes from there?

Is your engine idle speed higher than normal? Have you displayed your DTCs (trouble codes)?

I tried it again last night after sitting for 40minutes and it was well behaved so it seems to be coming and going ,As for the revs I sure they were ok but I will double if it happens again and I dont have the gear to check the codes
