I had the same problem with my V6. There was no sign of missing while driving but it idled roughly. Changing the plugs made no difference. I then checked the resistance of the high tension leads and 3 of them had open circuits. The leads were original equipment, 197000 km. New leads from Holden made an incredible difference to the power.

Yes, it idles very smoothly now. The leads cost $50.00. I'd made a phone call to Holden earlier to see if they had the leads and the cost. They had to be ordered (half day wait) and the cost was 'about $50'. When I went to pay for them the guy wanted over $60, as was on the printed docket. When I told him what I'd been quoted, he tore up the docket and we did a $50 deal.

If you can get hold of a multi-tester, do a resistance check on the leads. If cost is a real issue for you, you can buy individual leads at automotive suppliers. You may only have one that is faulty.

there are soooo many things that can cause a rough idle, to save yourself hundreds of dollers go with the above advice, but i'd like to add to it.

Buy a multimeter, buy a gregorys manual and start testing things for failures. Event he throttle position sensor can cause idle issues and they tend to die quickly if exposed to high pressure water or degreaser.
