After loosing reverse gear in the auto i decided to buy a "reconditioned" auto off some bloke on ebay for $800
Have just spent the weekend fitting this new auto and now have some major problems with it, the engine warning light is on and has returned the follwing codes..
59 = transmission fluid to high
66 = 3-2 shift solenoid control circuit fault
67 = TCC on-off solenoid control circuit fault
73 = Pressure control solenoid fault
82 = 1-2 shift solenoid "A" fault
It has the right level transmission fluid, after running for 5 mins max the transmission oil sounded as if it was boiling..
It goes ok in reverse, but when i put it in drive it only starts to drive forward at very high revs (4000rpm) it wont seem to change up gears.. just keeps reving going slow.. until i went down hill and it selected 3rd and got up to 60k's
Im stuck and have no ideas at to what could be causing these problems or fault codes??
any help or ideas would be very greatfully received
Its a VR V8 TH700
Thanks

did you plug in the trans wires into the box with all those codes either not plugged into the box blown fuse or the wiring inside the trans pan not attached .it will be in limp home mode will take off in 3rd gear unless you select 2nd will only have reverse 2 and 3
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
Hi, yes wiring is connected ill check the fuses and see if any are blown, will also recheck the wiring connection. Thanks for that delcowizzid
What would be causing the transmission oil to boil tho after such a short time?

maybe check your trans cooler pipes and the hoses that attach to the cooler . see if the fluid is circulating , just a thought could your filter have dropped out of where it is positioned above the pan ? worth checking a few things b4 you panic,......good luck.
Problem is now solved.. the place that reconditioned the auto had snapped nearly every clip that holds the wiring plugs inplace inside the pan on the auto and had trapped wires etc.. the whole loom was stuffed broken and not secured inplace at all... Great rebuild!!! lol
The place that did the rebuild apparently was croyden automotives according to the guy i bought it off.
Anyway ive had a replacement 2nd hand internal gearbox loom fitted.. all warning lights are off no codes coming up and all is good again.
