wait, your VR has an LS1? are you sure? Unless you converted the engine, its going to be a 3.8L Buick or a 5.0L Holden, not a 5.7L Chev.

No, it won't bolt straight up. The front is different and the rear is different. The hangers on the middle mufflers will line up (sort of) with the hangers on the car, but everything else will need modifying.

Im in the process of converting it
just sussing out which exhaust to go with pretty much set on a twin 3" xforce system sounds so good
So you reckon it will fit but hangars will need to be modded?
    cheers

No, the other way around, the hangers will fit but the rest of the system will need modding.

No it isn't. If it was just hangers that needed changing, a cut and a weld. With the rest of the system, you will need to remake the front section so it lines up with your cats, redo the pipes under the axle, and remake the rear section.

is your VR fitted with IRS in the rear or does it have a live axle setup?

yeah, you should be able to make it work. if it was live axle then you would need to make the part that goes over the diff.

The differences are the cat locations, they are in a different spot, and where the pipes go under the axle and out the back, the VR runs closer to the centre of the car because of the spare wheel, and the VT-VZ runs right out closer to the outside because there is no spare wheel well there.

alternatively u could look at it as Ive spent sh*tloads of money on it already and hence anything I can get done on the cheap to save a few bux is a plus and means i get it finished sooner
