    Default VR ignition problem

Hi there I recently bought a VR Executive V6 which had been sitting in a back yard unprotected for the last six months,I replaced the battery and it started straight away, however since then it will only start intermittently. The lights, horn, radio and everything else work, but when you switch the key on it does,nt turn over ,if you come back later it may start OK,regards Callum .

Does it click or refuse to turn over? Or just no response whatesoever when ya try to start ignition past music/aux power. Because I have a VR exec v6 sedan that has the same problem, you just gotta turn key back to start and give it another go. I.e turn it back to original position as if you had just put it in, then turn it over again and it'll be right.

Should get the ignition barrel replaced though, once you figure out the extent of the problem.

thanks guys , the metal pimple on the key is worn so I bent the metal strip beside the barrel to make a better contact which seems to have solved the problem, regards Callum.
