    Default Fuel smell in cab.

My VR ute has a really bad fuel smell in the cab, doesn't smell in engine bay or underneath 'round the tank. I can't find out where the hell it is coming from. Has anyone else had this problem? cheeRS.

Yeah I'm getting it too. Not quite sure why? I find I smell it the most when I take off hard. When driving sensible and slow don't really seem to smell it?

check your fuel tank breather hoses to see if theyve perished or split.

I also get a fuel smell in the cab from time to time, I checked the breather hoses and they all seem in good condition so i guess its a problem that we all have to put up with.

one thing to check is the o2 sensors? if you can get someone to put a scantool on the obd2 conector maybe they will show a fault? Or slight exhaust leak & rubbers on doors not sealing 100%

I've been getting a really strong fuel smell in the cab of my vr, but thats only cause i took the covers off from behind the passengers seat so i could hear the sub better, put them back on today and just turned the sub up lol...
still smelt the fuel after i put them back on, but i think its just cause the fuel smell soaked into all the fabrics, should clear in a couple of days i hope, been giving me a headache after long drives...

Subs can shake fuel lines loose really easily. I've seen it before...

i used to have the fuel smell, fixed that by checking all the lines connected to the tank there was a hose off floating around and the random engine light problem i fixed by changing my oxy sensors

You guys might wanna get your injector O ring seals checked, Like now. My brothers old VR Berlina had the same problem, Found fuel on the engine block, Ticking time bomb. Chewed through petrol like mad, But went pretty hard even with the O rings practically gone.
