quick question, the stock exhaust uses a 2.25'' pipe
and, the induction hose is 3.5''?

am currently running a mace-type pod CAI/airbox with extractors in a stock '97 VSII ecotec exec.

was looking at getting 4inch induction hose and a 2,5'' catback...

Yes, the stock exhaust size is 2 1/4". It won't matter what size you go to with your intake as the throttle body dictates how much air can get into the engine.

pretty sure the standard induction hose is 3"?

FIT were advertising 4inch induction hose as part of their type S CAI, and to compliment their RACE CAI (the one i've got)...

not worth it?
