hey lads whats happening
i just finished putting a stereo system in my sisters vr statesman
and now when i switched on the ignition to acc the a/c fan turns on even when the climate control unit is off. i want to break stuff really bad help a brotha out

just had a tutu with my bludy vs and got the same issue. think it mite be the a/c relay stuck on. did u manage to sort yours out?

Maybe it's where you have taken the Ignition +12v from......or where you have taken the "always on" 12V from. I would guess it the former - you really need to take it from the fusebox and not just tap into any old wire ( not saying that this is what you did)

You would have disconnected the climate control unit when changing the radio yeah? First try looking at that connector. Something in there shorting it out , bent pin.

In regards to what Hako said pull the radio fuse and switch the car on. If the radio works your on the wrong 12V.

Does the unit have a memory(correct constant/acc connection) as in will it remember preset stations if you turn the car off then on again.

Simple solution!

Work backwards recheck all the connections. Most issues are easily fixed, don't turn it into a major fault. Stay cool Bro.
