!!Really weird radiator problems..PLEASE HELP~

hey guys
today after i drove my vr v6 i opened my bonnet and feel my radiator cap. It wasnt even hot. it was colder than warm (if that makes sense) i then grabbed my radiator hose and it was burning hot and it felt like there was ALOT of pressure in it. i have a tiny crack in the side of my radiator which only leaks a little bit. Could this be the reason why this is happening? Or if not why is this happening?

The hose is supposed to be hot with a lot of pressure in it. I can't remember how hot the cap feels after the engines been running as it's been a while since i've had any radiator problems. Is there actually anything wrong with the way it functions?

nahh the engine is fine.
like i said i have a small crack in the radiator side tank....

That's pretty common. All my radiators and ones in my friends cars have cracked in the same place. Probably because i always lean on my CAI. Worth replacing though if you can do it yourself. A bit more expensive to pay numnuts the mechanic. Don't use stop leak. If the car isn't overheating and your not loseing much coolant you can get away with driving like that until it becomes a problem

i think im going to get a new radiator anyway because i have but stop leak and its abit rusty inside etc. A nice new clean one should be better
