Found Fault Codes ......

Hi there Just Commodores family,
Last week the check engine light came on, car went into limp mode, had this before so turned it off and back on, car started fine and ran sweet?
Just been in for a WOF, so while it was in there, got them to check what fault was logged on the computer, codes 22, 31 and 72 had been logged.
Shop has cleared all codes, and checked computer again, and nothing is showing up anymore, and said car is running fine?? and not to worry as they were old history ones??
Can someone out there tell me what theses codes are? And what i need to get fixed?

code 22 is throttle position sensor,31 is theft deterrent signal missing,72 is A/T vehicle speed sensor-intermittent signal.You can check them yourself.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
If they dont come back ,I wouldnt worry to much. Just keep an eye on them to see if they come back.Just noticed yours is a V8 ,Im not sure if the error codes are different for the 6 and 8.Someone here will know for sure.

G'Day Fred, about all you can do is wait till it happens again and then check for error codes yourself. The fact that it went into LHM usually means it was not just a single split second glitch but of long enough duration for the ECU to figure it was sufficient to put the car into LHM.
So it's just a waiting game....or maybe it will never happen again. Good Luck.

Oh ok, has gone into limp mode before, ( 1 week after a got it ) and had the check light come up, but that was a problem with the throttle body it self ( someone before I had it enlarged the throttle body with a file? and didnt enlarge the butterfly at the sametime, causing it to lean out? ) The HSV dealer replaced the throttle body and cleared the fault? then, but that was 11 months ago tho, this couldnt be the same fault could it, code 22?
And as for the others? 31,Theft deterent signal missing? Alarm still works?? and 72, Vehicle speed sensor? Um speedo works fine? Or have I got theses wrong?

Maybe they didnt clear it properly.The fault codes came from a VS gregorys manual.As I said before, they are for a V6.Not sure if V8 is different but I dont think so,Ive never read anything on here about them being different.Attacking the TB with a file,some people have no idea.

The errors might be intermittent,The code 31,has somthing to do with the key not contacting the ring around the ignition properly.The code 22,they might not have cleared it properly from before,all you can do is keep doing the test in the link in the answer given before,and see if they come back .
