Throttle gettin stuck??

hey guy i have a vs commodore and lately after i been driving for a while and pull up the engine is rev to 1000rpm any idea's what could be causing this? any help much appreciated

Hi,Id first check for any error codes. See if anything shows up.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)

You might also check that the actual cable is not sticking - check that the engine end of the cable where it connects at the throttle body actually returns all the way. Do this whilst the engine is idling high and don't touch the HT cables!!!
