    Default 1997 calais s2 super6 airbag light

just bought myself a vs s2 super6 calais.
just niticed that the airbag light doesn't light up when you switch the car onto the on position.
You know when u switch the car on and all teh ligths show up for a couple of seconds well my abs light doesn't, checked the bulb and the bulbs fine. have checked the fuse and thats also fine.
Next step is a whole lot of reading lol checking the wire diagram.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue and knows a preferably easy fix =D
the aribags have never been deployed and its never been in a crash.

    Any ideas?

Hi,you need to see someone with a scantool that can read to/from the SRS Module. It is probably a faulty module or a break in the wiring, which they should be able to tell you where or what it is that is faulty.Theres no real way to test it yourself.

Its under the drivers seat in the VS sedan.Just look under the driver seat and you will see a black box.Thats it.I wouldnt muck around with it,it might set off the airbags.Just saw that you said relay. Its under the dash near the fuses and other relays. Its the SRS Module thats under the seat.

The light is on its on all the time, theres a fault.
Some wise bastard had covered it up with electrical tape so you couldn't see that it was on....
