how to get all the water out of the heater ?

hey guys the other day i had a broken heater hose tap thingy so anyway cause i never use heat in the car i just have one of the heater hoses from the engine shaped like a u back to the engine so the water keeps flowing round in the engine but doesent go to the heater unit , but now im wondering how would i drain any water out of the heatercore under the dash so it doesent just sit in there and start leaking one day ? cheers muz

There wouldnt be much coolant left in it anyway .It should just evaporate.I wouldnt worry about it.The heater core will rot away(rust) if you leave it disconnected.A new tap is around $60 at holden
