Im looking for a straight anwser here please lol as i have heard so much oposing info on this topic i cant seam to get a straight anwser on it.

I am putting a T5 box that came out of a VP into a VS SERIES I and i want to no if the flywheel out of a VP will fit a the VS Ecotec motor? Just want to no if holden used the same flywheels for both or did they make a special flywheel just for the VS's to run the T5 gearboxes before the Getrag was released? . Thanks

Buick engines are externally balanced, ecotec's are internally balanced. So basically you SHOULD get the flywheel properly balanced for your engine.

Ecotecs aren't internally balanced, they just run a different external balance as did all the variants( vn, vp vr, vs).
If converting an auto motor, you just need to get the flywheel mirror balanced to the auto motors flex plate.
