    Default Cheapest Good Quality Springs?

What are the cheapest good quality springs out there? I need some new springs (front and rear), but also want to lower my ute as well. Are king springs the cheapest? What do you guys recommend? And also, if i get new lower springs does that mean i also need to buy new shocks?
What sort of prices do springs go for?

    Cheers

to the best of my knowledge kings are the cheapest, my vs has them and plenty of mates have used them over the years without any complaints, i dunno what the average retail is for them nowadays. if you're from the bush it might be worth having a look at some online shops to see what they're worth because i know some of these country parts shops are definitely not cheap
i've heard if u go lower than an inch u should get new shocks to suit or else they are always compressed more than they should be and end up blowing the seals out. it probably wouldn't hurt to put new ones in the front regardless of how much u lower it, that way u know u wont have to pull the struts out again for a long time

Look for some second hand springs. Can get a set for $100. I got my dobinsons for $80 off another member on here.

Cheers guys. Yeah im looking at some superlow kings. Buying new shocks as well is a bit more money so i don't really know wether its worth it (anymore opinions)?
Also, does anyone have any instructions on how to install new springs, like the tools needed and everything?

    Cheers

from memory there is a how-to on installing springs n shocks.

    u have 2 options.

    1. do it cheap, only install springs now.. which will cost you the shocks in 6-12 months anyway coz there not working in the range they were designed for.. and the time coz u have to remove the same parts to get to the shock... oh and dont forget another wheel alignment..

    2. spend the extra now do it once, enjoy the smooth ride for years to come.

    simple really

nar its actually not too hard to do if your handy with the tools give it a crack. if you have the time and tools to its a great learning experience. if your not confident, it doesnt make you any less an enthusist to leave it to the pros

sorry bout the harsh truth but cutting corners now only costs you more down the track.
