    Default PRND321 Fascia

    Hey,

I just finished reading the VR-VS interior topic and have a question about the auto transmission.

I installed a BLUE LED in place or the original which blew, and the current PRND321 cover has a green backing on it which I am guessing works as the filter?.

My question is do I remove that so it shines through even brighter? Because at the moment you can see it well but it looks nothing like this:

Or do I buy a new fascia that doesn't have backing on it?

If you want pics of my fascia to see the backing on it just let me know

    Cheers
    Nick

No mate, thats an example of HOW it should look like, mine is a lot duller then that and I think it has something to do with the green painted on the back of the fascia because I think it is working as a filter type thing.

    Know what I mean mate?

Yes i do. The back of it is covered in a Gel-coat. You need to pick this off. Then under it is the green. You have to be really carefull doing this --> Get some very fine wet rub sandpaper and rub the green off. Do it very lightly, as if you sand through the green layer, you will start to sand off the white and the black layers, which will end in a crummy finish.

I did mine different to yours. I made a custom 8 LED strip running down the hole fascia.
