Windscreen Wiper Speed Fault

Hi, i have a VR Commodore Executive and my Windscreen Wiper Speed doesnt work on High speed, they work ok on intermittent and low speed but not at all on High Speed, im just wondering if any body knows why and what do i have to do to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Im not sure about the VR, but the VS wiper speed is controlled by the BCM(body control module).Its under the dash behind/above the fuses and stuff.You need someone with a scantool that can read from the BCM to see if it is ok.Someone here will know if the VR is the same as the VS.I think they might be.

Mine is the same, however I find that if I force the arm down to where high is, the speed will increase but only whilst I hold the arm down, so I figure it's the switch at fault. I haven't pulled the arm/switch out to inspect so maybe it's fixable without have to buy a new arm.....and I think this problem is fairly common.

I'm pretty sure the speed is controlled by the wiper motor which is 2 speed whilst the BCM probably controls the variable speed.

yeah,looking again at the wiring diagram the bcm does only control variable speed by the look of it.My mistake.Theres two power wires from switch to motor.
