Hey all,
Was just driving this morning, and it was a hot one, so i put the AC on. My usual speed is 2 on the dial, as my system needs a regass, so its colder when the fans lower. anyways, after driving for a little while on 2, and not feeling anything, I put it on 3 and a big wave of cool air came out and it continued to blow. Tried it on 4, and it still came out. Went back to 2 - nothing, then lastly 1. and nothing on that either.
When I pulled up i put the car on acc. and went thru all speeds. My fan only works on 3 & 4.
What should I be looking for? Fan motor? Fuse? Switch?
While I've got the thread - What's the clicking around the glovebox area occasionally when the air con is on?
Cheers
The speed problem is related the the fan speed resistor bank - there is a "how-to" in that section on how to replace it (simple). The clicking you are hearing is probably the A/C thermostat turning the compressor on/off - it measures the air coming thru the evaporator and turn the compressor off at a certain temp, otherwise the evaporator will ice up.
