    Angry Speedometer not working

    Hey,
getting my manual vs ute ready to drive, and the speedometer isnt working, I have checked for error codes and it came up with nothing relevant, checked/replaced fuses, checked speed sensor in gearbox, after this i got an auto electricial to look at it, and he said th cluster is getting a signal, so the cluster must be broken, so i bought a "new" one, and it still has the same problem, everything working besides speedometer, Digital speedo isnt working either, but sparky said it gets its signal off the cluster...
What else could it be? I thought maybe speed sensor could stil have a problem? but then it wouldnt be sending a signal to the cluster would it??

Only thing I can suggest is to check the VSS is the correct one for your car...have you recently converted to a manual?...

    Nuh its a standard manual,

OK... I just tried it out again and it worked with the new cluster in it YAY..
When i had my old one i put one of those custom fascias from ebay in it, and didnt know if the cluster stopped working before/after/sametime as i put it in as car because i didnt have my P's until now..

So now i know the new one is working i pulled it out of the car (turning it off, removing key and disconnecting negative battery terminal) and put the custom fascia in, as well as winding the Km back to what my old one was, put it in the car, and again, speedo isnt working!!!!!!!!! Everything is, exept for the speedo!!

So i take the ebay fascia out, and put the standard one back in and it still isnt working.....

So you still have no speedo?....do you mean the speedo dial or the counter that you wound back or both?

Check that you have plugged in the small tag at the back of the speedo (from when you took it out)

the speedo wasnt working, and yer i plugged it in..
When i put the white dials in, the back of the cluster must have rubbed against the bench, because it had a brocken track, i fixed that and now its working,
However the regular speedo, and digital speedo are showing different readings, At 30km/h they read the same, but when the normal one shows 50km/h the digital shows 45 and gets worse as i get faster..
