Stop looking for the Potholes and sit back and Enjoy the Ride
It's probably the device that keeps the door open - they fail internally and don't keep the door open plus squeak. I need to squirt mine with lanolin spray with a small tube to get inside the arm bit.
It could also be the hinge pins which just need a drop or two of oil.
Just to add to this, I had a real bad clunk in drivers (common I've heard) and overcome this by putting about 4 washers between the pin and check strap to stop the pin/strap moving up and down. Hopefully this will help someone and save buying a another check strap.
Cheers.
CRC OR WD40 spray your hinges problem solved
If its got Wheels or Boobs its gonna cost ya money
agreed wd40 works wonders
OK i squirted some INOX on the hinges and the bar that slides into the door
No more noise
Seems the noise was the bar that holds the door open
