Im getting some blue bulbs to replace the stock green ones. Whats the easiest way to get to the bulbs? Do i need to pull the whole dash off, then unscrew the whole thing that the speedo attatches to? I just don't want to rip more crap out than i need to, so any help with that would be great.
Cheers guys.
Just pull the cluster out and the globes twist in the back.

Worked for me mate, just make sure there decent bright ones with a wide angle. And they go through the filter.
Gee, i forgot about this thread, cheers guys. Are you serious TVR-161, i thought the bulbs were green, so is their any point getting a blue LED dash light kit?
Hardstyle29, mate how did your LED's turn out? Can you show us a photo man?
it looks good thinking of doing it in my vxss
Wow, that does look good mate, where did you get those LED's and what are they called?
These ones here mate,
T10 6-LED Blue Dash Kit Commodore VR VP VL VN VS 4pcs - eBay Dash Parts, Interior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 11-Jan-10 01:32:32 AEDST)
These are the multi angled ones so the whole dash gets lit, unlike some others you can get which point straight, leaving patches of light.
Sweet, yeah those were the ones i was looking at. Thanks mate! Is it a difficult job getting to the existing light bulbs?
Is there a guide how to do this on VLs?
Just put some of these blue LED's in and they look really good, only trouble is the needle's are very hard to see, they hardly light up at all, i actually find it hard to see what speed im doing.
Hey "Verynice", your needles look more blue than mine do, are yours easy to see? Im thinking of painting the needles red or something.
Nah mine are also dull. That was just a longer exposure pic. What you can do is grab some nail polish remover, take the orange off and paint the back WHITE using nail polish or similar. I havn't bothered doing it, even in my L3 cluster which is the same deal.
