need help plz

hi all
i have a 97 vs v6 it sounds like it has 20 pod filters on it, its missing, sucking alot of air, and wont go over 3000 rpm, feels like its running on 3 cylinders, it has new leads, plugs, and coil pack seems to be fine, seems to be holding gears until i take my foot off then it changes.

Did it just start doing it or has it started since you have worked on it/changed something?

just started doin it error codes r 44 76 but they been like that for 5 months now spark plugs r dirty on one side clean as on the other

3 dirty plugs on right hand side an 3 clean as on left had side the vs wont go past 3000rpm struggling to move new plugs leads an coil pack alright when i acclerator or try to rev it sounds like 20 pod filters suckin heaps of air an like i said she struggles to get upto 3000rpm

The codes you have are 44-RH oxygen sensor (lean signal).Code 76-Air/fuel ratio.Id be getting these fixed first.Its not burning fuel properly,one side of the motor is running leaner that the other.(what you have said about the plugs being different from one side to the other backs up what the codes say)These error codes will make it run like crap and are more than likely whats wrong with it.I'd be looking for a vacuum leak around the motor somewhere.

I know this may sound silly, but I'd try running a strong mix of injector/carby cleaner additive to a tank of fuel run it for a bit and see how it goes. Might be worth flushing out the injector rails, clean injectors with carby cleaner...could be something clogged up...worth checking the easy/cheap shit first. Also check to make sure all the sensors are plugged in/working...etc

Usually these sorts of errors show up when theres a vacuum leak.Cleaning the injectors might be worth a try.

I'd start by checking all the vacuum hoses around the engine for disconnections, leaks,splits etc

thanks mate ill start there its got to b something stupied i hope
