Default VS Door lock driver side

Greetings all, Yeah my driver side door lock is frequently not responding to the keypad, but all other door locks are responsive.
Any ideas please on this little drama.

Take the door handle out then.. 3 screws, one wiring plug and 2 clips and the solenoid is out! replace it with a new one and problem solved! simple!

You'll first need to remove the door trim before you can access the solenoid. This ain't simple and a nice person called Darren has written a great how to and I've attached the link: Removing Front Door Trim on VN - VS

you dont get a lot more simple than taking off a door trim.. its only held on with screws.
less than 5 mins to remove easy

Probably does only take 5 minutes when you've done one before, but I figure if "terry0400-40" is stumped at the first hurdle then he needs the "How- to".

Hey i wish you luck buddy, I was thinking of going to an auto electrician and just get rid or disconnect all of this push key button lock and unlock crap.
It would make life so much easier and certainly cheaper if could just turn the key in the door lock to lock and unlock just like my old FJ, EH, HR, and HQ, no dramas with the old girls sigh, yeah this electronic stuff certainly pisses me off somewhat, well i am nearly sixty and my knowledge of modern day car electronics could fit into a wee small reefer.

You can use the key to lock/un lock. No auto leccy required.

Thanks 4 ur advice Woteva, it is comforting to know because next time like probably tomorrow when the driver door does not unlock with the keypad i will experiment with using the actual key to turn the lock so as i dont have to climb over from the back when all the other doors unlock except the drivers.
