    Default 3.45 or 3.9's??

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i had 3.7's in my manuel vs ute and i think the gears where dodgy to begin with and now there f*ked..now the guy who is going to fix it cant find 3.7's so i have a choice out of the 3.45 or 3.9,any opinion's welcome..but jst worried that 3.9's will be to high of a ratio?let me know what you guys think..cheers

3.9 is a lower ratio than 3.45.The lower the number, the higher the ratio.

yeah i know that dude but i mean will i loose to much top end with the 3.9's or maybe even pretty much have no 1st gear? 3.45's might be the best of both worlds

Id go the 3.45.especially if you do a lot of highway driving. If you just wanna leave one hell of a burnout at the traffic lights, then go the 3.9,it will give excellent takeoff/pickup,but will loose top end.
It mostly comes down to how you use the vehicle.Highway or around town/city driving. With the 3.9 it will rev fairly hard at 100 ks.Is it auto or manual.

I have 3.45s in my manual clubby, and is a good compromise for highway/town driving....
    Very happy with them.

but yea, depends on what you want them for...if you are a traffic light warrior, get the 3.9s....

i'd go 3.45's especially if it has the getrag box which has a 0.8:1 5th gear Od ratio instead of the 0.72:1 5th gear that the T5 has.

3.9's and 4.11's should be reserved for auto's or cars fitted with a T56

i have 3.9s in the ss with the t5 and i dont mind it. not the best for highway cruisng at 120km/h but the boogie off the line and id rather acceleration over top speed
