    Default acceleration

i own a vsii ecotec exec auto, has mace type enclosed pod cai, extractors and cat back. i am very happy with its standing acceleration, will kill alot of other cars at the lights, but am somewhat embarrassed and disappointed with her in gear acceleleration.. was defeated by a suzuki swift..

will get 0-100 in the sevens, but why is she sluggish in gear? I mean in drive, in 2nd she's very responsive.

is this due to the throttle body??

if i floor it yes, to second, if i accelerate it wants to stay in it's current gear, even then there's a delay then it kicks in.

if i have the tranny in 2nd, she's very responsive, and at times the acceleration is frightening...

in drive she has an awesome acceleration.... it's just when cruising at 60-100km/h that she's a little slow to respond and that's annoying....

thats normal for an auto. If the power button is on that'll help it kick down sooner and hold gears longer. Shift kits do great things in faster gear changes.
