Weird VR issue

I started 95 VR after it was sitting all day, put both drivers & passenger windows down. About 5 minutes later went to put them back up, but no response from the buttons. Just flat out won't work, front or back.

I get to the bottom of a hill and stop the car. She won't start again. Turns over fine, but just won't fire. Checked the ECU for errors, but nothing reported? Reset the ECU by taking the black cable off the battery for 30 seconds, then she fires up again, windows working and all, like nothing happened....

Any thoughts on why this might have happened? I am presuming there maybe a short somewhere.

Any help much appreciated.

hey guys today i was driving on the hwy with my aircon on and at the stoplights placed car in neutral car stalled within 30 sec then would not start she cranks over but doesnt fire up.
spark and fuel pump ok, any ideas would be appreciated.

I'd bet my left t******e on it being the battery terminal you removed. They must be clean, shiny and tight (I knew a sheila like that once). Check both.
