Default Changing diff gears. speedo problems?

Ok well took my car out to the drags and it was a open wheel shit box. so i was doing 1 wheelers in third gear hitting about 150 lol. now diff is clunky and want to buy an lsd for it but i want to change the diff gears from 3.08 to 3.9. my car is an auto so what rpm will i be sitting on at 110 and also i figure my speedo will be out after this so how do i get this fixed? my car is a 97 vs calais hsv build 526. has 185i motor in it and is auto

i have a VN v6 manual. with 3.08 diff gears i was doing just under 2000rpm at 100. now i have 3.46 diff gears and im on about 2400rpm. i have a speedo calibrator from chip torque that changes the out put signal so my speedo stays correct. it gets wired in after the sender on the gearbox.

oh and i races a friend back when i had the 3.08 gears. he had a vs ute 5l 5 speed with3.7 diff gears and he selected 5 gear when i was selecting 3rd. back with my old gears i would get 120 out of second but i also think he short shifted a little but he definitely lost a lot of speed with those diff gears. i have lost about 15-20kph from the change in my car

you loose top speed but you gain alot more get up and go. i've got 3.9's in my vs ute and i sit on 2200 at 100. best bang for buck mod you can do to it

ross.d how much work is done to your ute. my mates car was stock and got no where near 2200rpm while doing 100. thats why i went for 3.46 gears. But i agree though with higher diff gears you get a lot better take off.
