Weird idle problem

Hey guys

been having a bit of a weird problem with my ute, it only happens sometimes like it did it 2 days ago hasnt done it again until today

when i go to start it up the revs go to just under 1400 and keep going higher and higher, ive check alll hoses for a leak there all fine, it has a mace 69mm tb with a delco tune to suit, the IAC has been cleaned spotless

i was thinking maybe it mite be an ecu problem, i was going to disconnect the battery for a while n see if that fixes it, but like i said before it only does it sometimes warm or cold doesnt matter, also i have to shut it off cus it keeps reving higher then i start it again and its fine, only once after starting it again it did it

anyone have an idea whats going on? its got me stumped

my vt was doing that it ended up being the sensors on the tb i changed both of them and it hasnt done it since that was about 3-4 months ago

Could be a BCM fault or a faulty TPS.

Did you clean or take the TB off recently?

Or has this started out of the blue?

a little while ago i put the Mace tb on with the tune to suit and about a month later it started doing it, also forgot to mention it only does it in Park when i stop at lights in drive it hasnt done it once

it doesnt do it in Neutral either only in park, im leaning more towards the senors on the tb, are they expensive to replace?

well just went to holden (car was fine both times i started it) they want 250 bucks for 2 sensors now is that a rip off or what

Maybe just try the Throttle Body Positioning sensor first.
With the IAC have you made sure it was put back in with less than 28mm from base (Where the screws go through) to tip?

yeah, they want $154 just for that sensor

this is in perth but you'd assume the prices would be same across the board. i got mine from conventry's, repco had to order them in and im inpatient
