Hi guys, I am getting code 57, going by the gregory's manual it says its the Injector power supply monitor, I don't have a clue what this means, anyone know what causes this ?
thanks Rony
I'd first check the wiring connectors around the engine and especially around under the dash(mainly the ECU connectors) behind the left front kick panel. It could be a bad connection,Ive seen this happen before with this code.Hopefully thats all it might be.Also check the injector resistances. They should be between 11.8-12.8 ohms.

there is a wire from the injector power feed to the ecu for it to monitor injector voltage check what volts are at the injectors
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
Thanks a lot guys, will try it out this morning
Checked around for loose wirring but found nothing, the resistance on each injector was around the 12.0 or 12.01, with the multimeter set at 20 V each injector leed was 0.03 with the ignition turned on., so does that sound right ?
If it has anything to do with it also getting codes 76 & 78, going by the gregory's, it says " Variation in the air/fuel ratio between the left and right cylinders..... possible causes
blocked injectors..... I put some of Nulons injector clean in the tank yesterday.
faulty spark plugs....... took them out yesterday, they looked good, reset them to 1.3 as normal [ car is on dual fuel ] could the gap be to small ?
no leak in exhaust, etc
thanks for any advise.

The codes 76 and 78 can be set if one of the oxygen sensors in the exhaust system is faulty.Might be worth checking it out.Its most likely to be the injectors not working properly though,I'd clear the error codes, get that injector cleaner through the system, then see if the errors come back or not.
Thanks Brett, I will do that, so sounds like the codes could be all related to the injectors, I haven't run any injector clean through the system for a few years.
thanks again
Rony
It was the injectors, fault codes 57, 76 & 78 have all gone now.
Makes me wonder if the occasional shudder I was getting beforehand was caused by the blocked injectors and not the trans as thought previously, I guess time will tell.
Thanks very much for your help.
