Changed my fuel pump and a cuple of bushes in the rear. handles a little more crispily (if thats a word). As for the pump, the car feels great.
Although I took the car for a spin with my girlfriend to meadows. I found the car to struggle up the hills. Felt like it was running out of puff. Exhaust note becomes softer as you can hear the engine straining. Can someone please tell me what is it and why is it occuring? Is this the transmission beginning to fail me. It almost sounds like something is slipping and and power is virtually being wasted
Just searching through the forum. i think i found what maybe the problem with my car at the moment.
"It's on it's way out, exactly the same thing happened with my old VR, code 68, auto trans component slipping....had it serviced, lasted a little longer, slipping was getting worse (especially under load/going up hills etc...) and it eventually started to lose 1st gear at lights....and then 4th/overdrive, ended up with only 2nd and 3rd gears, thats when I finally decided to get a reco, lol."
nt.
probably an issue with the pump install or the swirl pot and its not getting fuel going up hill
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
Ive seen problems similar to yours, exhaust going quiet, loss of power etc, this turned out to be a blocked catalytic converter in the exhaust system.Might be worth checking out .
If you think it is something to do with the fuel pump, then get the fuel pressure tested. If the trans is slipping,it wont make the engine die,it will just rev higher as it slips.

ok thanks for the input guys. Il get those things checked out.
First check your error codes and see if you get the 68 Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
If it is a 68 then it probably means a reco soon.
