    Exclamation where is and what does my neutral saftey switch look like ?

    hello , ok i have a 97 vs v6 auto , and for ages my car doesent always sart when turn the key then i discovered if i wiggle the auto shifter it will then start so then i found out that the neutral saftey switch is usually to blame for this type of problem .i no the switch is sumwhere under the gear shifter but where exactly and also what does it look like please any1 ?as i would like to either clean the contact point or replace the switch cheers muz

    its at the base of the shifter, its a little round thing with wires going into it, you have to remove the shifter surround to get to it. I tried fixing it once but it didnt stay fixed for long just get another one much easier

    If its the same as my VPs one, its a green circle thing, about 60mm Diamiter, and about 10-20mm thick (high). Also has 2 triangle points coming off it (i like to call these the arms) which is how you line it up (or what the shifter grabs onto to engage or cutout the safety)

    If might just be loose, and a matter of fixing how it mounts (can't remember how it should mount, been ages since i saw one in the correct position.)

    wow i followed the instructions and now my car starts qucik again with out sounding like its got a half flat batterey my contacts were dirty and pushed in from years of use awsome
