Lads and Ladies,
I have a VIN Number here that I have checked against all the threads with no success
6H8VSK80UYL528266 - The part that i'm not sure about is the UYL, I'm lead to believe that this VIN belongs to one of the VS SS III special edition utes? Is this correct?
Thanks for your wisdom Lads.
look up "how to check you vin" in the search bit
With the build plate then guys......what SHOULD it say if it's the real deal?
I know barely enough to get by, but I've never seen a series 3 VS V8, they've all been V6's and I was looking for a ute for quite a while. so it has to be at least that rare. Also, does it have a 5.0L Aussie V8 or a 5.7L chev?

Nearly certain they didn't release any VS SS utes however there were several equipment and dealer packs around at the time to keep them moving till the VU was released. (First ute offered as a "SS").
That's not to say there weren't any V8 VS utes - they just carried the "S" badge. Some of the series II and III versions wound up with the VT roller 5 litre.

My dad just bought a VS SS Series 3 Ute, Auto, 5.0L V8. Its all completely original with 168,000kms. It has the VT style SS badges, steering wheel, alloy wheels, and VS seats with the VT SS logo. His nephew has owned it from new as he works at Holden. I have not seen another one like it to be honest.
