VR exterior trim

Hey guys, I know this question is a bit vague, but bare with me. I'm new to this, haha.

Just wondering if the exterior trim(the black strip) on a vr is held in place like the badges are or by other means(eg. pins)? I want to remove this but am unsure of how much of a job it is.

held on with sikaflex. think silicon on steroids. a total biatch if you don't know what you're doing. removal been covered a few billion times, just snoop round
