Vs Statesman boot problem

my stato boot wont open, i can hear the power trying to open and it sounds like its trying to open when the boot is open? i cant get the key in either for some reason, it wont go all the way in?

worked fine at lunch time today

i can get in from the back seat and cant see anything jamed or anything?

This should help although it's my exec but they should have the same locks. Just crawl in the boot again with a phillips head screwdriver and loosen/remove both screws in the pix...this allows the latch mechanism to disengage with the striker. After this you'll need to reassemble and align things although it should be simple. Take a torch too..

If you can hear the lock releasing, just push up on the boot as soon as you hear the lock release. You will have to be near to boot to do this. Have the same problem in my GTS. The boot lock will release but not enough to break the seal between the boot lid and the body.
