    Angry holden vs engine mounts

    ****ing guys at the rego place, did and actual check of my car, and wont pass my car unless i get a right engine mount, is there a right and left one, or are they all the same

    for v6's mounts themselves are same same, vn through to vy left or right
    can't say for 8's

    Why are you pissed off at the rego guys? It's their job to make sure that your car is tip top. it's not their fault you don't maintain your car.

    yeah i know, but the normal guys normally just give me a bit of a blind eye, and so are they the same, its a v6, and a vs, so are they

    That's unlucky, i've never checked my mounts. Was it because they were worn out or what was the reason.

    A sheared engine mount can allow the engine to slide forward/sideways in a panic stop or even when cornering hard. Imagine the powertrain just rolling around in a roll-over. In an extreme situation it can shear the brake lines and kill your steering.
    But to answer your question, left and right are the same but the rear is different. The VS has "hydraulic" mounts which are filled with some sort of fluid to smooth the vibrations so if you want to keep it original get the specific VS ones.

    good, cause i got one, and didnt know if it was a right or left, but now i know makes no difference, then thats perfect, thank you so much
