IRS Ute

Just a general question based on a $20 bet with my mate.

Is it possible to get the IRS setup out of a sedan and fit it to a ute???

no vr/vs utes came out IRS only vu onwards.. as you cant fit IRS to a non IRS sedan with out major modifications i dont see how it would be possible to fit IRS to a ute

Everything is possible. Straight bolt up = NO way. You just scored $20.


Just to give an idea, the whole floorpan would have to be cutaway and a new one fabricated to suit.

he hasnt said what modles. ive got a vu ass in my vt sedan as iot was the only one i could get at the time cheap. so from vt sedan to vu ute will fit

Also just realised, ALL VTs are IRS equipped, which is why your diff fit no worries. IRS - Live axel = no go without alot of money.

The ute floor pan is a lot different from the sedan as well, so it would need a lot of work to make IRS out of a sedan fit.
