Just wondering, i have been offered some genuine 19" HSV Clubsport wheels too put on my 1995 Commodore VS. I was just wondering if they would be able to be put straight on or would i need to get some work done?
A Speedy response would realllyy be appreciated because this offer is only available for a few days.
Please help, my time is running out!
THANKS!!!
VE wheels wont fit pre VE's the center bore is smaller on the VE's than earlier models you would have to get them machined to fit.

Thanks for the response westbad, would you happen to know where i would have to go to get the wheels machined too fit? and how much?
its easier just to get wheels that already fit VR/VS
Ask around at a few wheel places.
Search around, as this has been covered a fair bit, some threads might suggest places to go.
Hmm true, thanks for your help guys. I'll let you know how it goes.
Get them just so you have them, then ask wheel places and if you think its to much hastle then just sell the wheels and get some new ones with the money from that?
Just an idea..
Kind of the same ordeal, has anyone put 8.5's on the front of their VS without rolling the front gaurds? i was just looking at 19x 8.5 but the fronts would get f***ed from rubbing the gaurd and being tooo wide. Has anyone got pics of their car on 8.5's?? just wondering thats all
All comments are welcome
Cheers
ive got 8.0 inch's on mine and had troubles i found that having different tyres made a difference, tried quite a few and found nankang ns2 to have the most curvy edge without looking stupid. Here's the tyre chart for NS2

there also a cheap tyre but still have silica
I saw something somewhere saying machining for that is only about $30 per wheel. Confirm it though..
Hey guys, so i passed on VE HSV clubsport wheels but today i went to my tire/wheels place and they are going too fit some 19'' VE SS wheels on for me on my 1995 VS with low profile tires. No guard rolling is needed. I am however getting some spacers included so the VE wheels go straight on. The spacers change the stud pattern and whatever else needs to be changed too fit them.
So hopefully on monday the VS will be getting 19'' VE SS Wheels, low profile tires, spacers, and a wheel alignment and balancing. They should be going on on monday so i will try and post some photos. I am also installing my sound system on christmas day. I will try to get some photos of that too.
Oh! one thing that will be needed for it too fit is that the tire will need to be about 10mm narrower than the rim (happens with alot of cars) just so they dont rub on the back.
Thanks for all your help. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
i didnt think spacers were road legal any more?? Why dont you just get VE copies that are designed to go straight on VS? 8.5's will fit with no trouble ive got 245-35-19 on my ute and its sitting on pedders ultra low with no rubbing at all...
HAHA i find this hard to believe, i have 8's on my VS Ute with Superlows in the rear with 235/45 tyres with the rim saving lip which probably makes them the equivalent of 245's and they have **** all clearance near the tubs and the guards and rub occasionally so 245/35/19 i feel sure would definitly rub at some time unless your talking about the fronts in which case they would definitely not fit or barely as mine with the same tyre size and rim size as the rear have like 2mm clearance to the strut. Or you must have a massive offset rim of some sort. Would love pics to prove me wrong though.
Well i have 245/45/18's all round and have never rubbed a guard and have plenty of space correct offset goes a long way bud
Float like an elephant sting like a tree clubsport hits what doug does'nt see
you have no idea mate lol... mine have no rubbing what so ever with 245-35-19 all round...!! and its on ultra lows.. theres pics of my ute on here it is possible if you know what your doing.. and seen as im a qualified panel beater/spray painter its not that hard to fit big wheels.. i was putting big rims on cars whilst you was still in nappies lol
No probs.....
I'm getting tired of hearing all these stories about people going in to a tyre store with a perfectly legal setup and leaving with an illegal fitment... it's not that hard to do it legally...and I'm not putting any blame on the customer - they aren't the professionals..
