Speedo Not Working

Hey guys,

I was painting my cluster needles and put them all back together and they are all working except for the speedo.

I am trying to seat it back on but there must be some sort of trick to it because I keep trying and it fallls below 0 km. I haven't tried it in the car yet so maybe it fixes itself once you start the car?

I'm not sure what to do, any help would be appreciated

when it's all pulled apart only put the needle on a little bit then flick it up with your finger and let it fall by itself and keep adjusting till you get zero.

Okay so for example:

Start with needle pointing at say 100k's and push on it so its sitting in there properly? And then let it fall?

the needle will auto fall so if you move it up to say 100km/h then let go of the needle it will auto fall back to zero even if it's not pointing to zero, you just have to keep pulling it off and on till it lands on zero when you move it up and let it go if you know what i mean.

Yeah I understand what you mean. Do you know roughly what speed you had to put it on to get it to fall down to zero?

i just pointed it to zero then moved it up let it drop to make sure it fell to zero

Yeah I pointed it at zero flicked it up and instead of going back to zero it goes to like -20k's lol

It seems to want to keep falling below 0 now

yeh it's a pain in the arse!

The only other way you can do it is to put your cluster back in with the glass off then go for a drive along a vacant road at some speed and use your speedalert as digital speedo then put the needle on at the same speed.

Haha mines a VR so = no speed alert :P

I'll keep playing with it, if I can't get it to work tomorrow ill film a video with my mobile phone showing what I'm doing and you (or anyone else who sees it here) can tell me if im doing it right lol
