just took mine off cos it was missing a couple of bolts and was hanging , thinking i might spray it silvery blue.... u reckon it will look stupid? the cars metallic blue.
Splash guard?
yeh its a rubber piece hanging down level with your front wheels, its meant too stop water splashing up into the motor area i think.
Do you mean mud guard?
not a mud guard, it goes from one side too the other under the car... forget it anyway i dont need opinions anyway i just felt like posting.
nah not man rags at all , just cant be assed explaining what a splash guard is.
the paint will chip easily as and look shit
and will also peel off unless you use a plastic adhesion promoter before you paint it.. really tho whats the point...?!?!?!
the point was i was bored and it was something too do , do i need any other reason?
I know what you're talking about OP. I'd try to get one that's as straight as possible, and paint it black. I reckon they look best disguised rather than drawn attention to.
I took mine off looks crap.
Ahh good old stoneguard.. I'd just remove it, doesn't really do much.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge but I always thought that was a type of spoiler that helps cool air up around the motor.?????

Nah unfortunately not.. The Stone/Splashguard is a piece of plastic that is there to supposedly protect the engine bay from foreign objects from entering the enginebay and potentially interfering with the mechanicals - for example - water on electrics, stones on fans etc etc..
Theoretically it's a great idea, Realistically not very good.
My old VR had a massive steel one there for shits and giggles, the VP no longer has one.
Cheers mate you learn something every day lol.

Same, mine looked like shit so I took it off...... Looks heaps better without it
I remember when I was thinking about taking it off I saw threads saying its to help keep the car cooler, Mine is still always between 1/4-1/2 on the temp gauge so mehdidn't really affect mine at all lol
Oh now i know what you are all talking about. I thought it was there so when on the highway hot air can still be expelled out the bottom of the engine bay since the "Splash Guard" that you guys call it deflects the quick moving air so that the hot air can escape?
If that made sense?
