    Default Removing Rear Shocks

    hey All,
Replacing the rear Shocks in a VR Sedan, now i get how to do it, just regards to jacking the car up, if i jack it by the diff, the shocks are still going to be compressed, what if i just jack one side up at a time and replace it when one wheel is off the ground? . any help would be awesome

    cheers

You should be able to compress you shocks by hand, depending on how old/stuffed they are they shouldn't try to spring back much, you new ones probably will try to expand back out but its usually pretty easy to hold them down, just don't waste all your energy trying to compress them quickly cause it wont happen.

Yeah Edals, pull off one wheel at a time and do the job that way. Peice of piss mate hey and the new ones are easy to compress to where you want them for fitting the bottom bolt.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'

Thanks Guys, New shocks are in. after a few attempts lol. First i removed the first one, cool simple, then found out the guy from otobarns gave me ones for IRS so had to get replacements, then fitted, easy, 2nd shock, the flat tip to stop the shock spinning while removing the nut broke off, then required a angle grinder lol
