Default How do i get the dash out? and will a series 1 VN dash fit?

Im gonna fix my gauges. Im very tired of smacking the dash to get em to work and every week now i have to hit it harder. I dont know how to get the dash out of a VR but i do have a spare series 1 VN cluster that can go in its place while im sorting out my VR gauge.

So, 1. How do i get the dash out? and
    2. Will the VN cluster (doesnt have a tacho) fit?

and i did do a search but nothing really specific came up -__-

    thanks guys

    vn cluster will smoke.

well, vr/s cluster into a vn smokes, so id assume the other way will smoke or at least, not work.

Removing the old cluster is easy... takes like 5 mins to do... check this thread out for info
The complete VR/VS interior illumination replacement & conversion guide
As for the VN gauge... no you can't use it. I think it will physically fit but the connections for the electrics are completely different and you'll definately fry the cluster, if not other electrical bits in your dash if you put in the VN cluster.
You can use a VR or another VS level 1 or level 2 cluster without dramas... level 3 clusters need additional wiring to work.

I have plenty of voltage regulators if you need one. Bring the cluster to me (Seaford) and I'll fix it for you in 5 mins.

Fix it for free - I have about 20 clusters to work with. I'll PM my phone number as I'm off work for a few weeks.
