Default Where is the receiver unit for the key?

I just bought a central locking kit for my VR. The kit itsn't remote but my commodore key has a button on it and there is a receiver in the car(when i press the button i can hear a click under the dash).
I wanto try and wire the central locking into the receiver for the key, to make it 'remote' central locking (the kit is able to be remote as they make transmitter(key)/receiver packs that can be bought seperately).

I just need help on locating the commodore key's receiver, i have no idea what it looks like or where it is. The 'click' that sounds when the button on the key is pressed comes from below the steering wheel. I dont wanto pull the dash apart to try and find something that i have no clue what it looks like or where it is.

Any help on the location of the receiver would be great! Thanks

Receiver is in the BCM (Body Control Module) you will need to find a wiring diagram and splice in to the right places..

Assuming the BCM you have supports the features..

its a black box above the fuses and air vents. the wiring diagram is going to be hard to find as the bcm changed between every series and model. i did a caprice conversion into my wagon and it has been hell and i still havnt got it going right.

If you get a workshop manual then get a Gregorys one. These ones have excellent wiring diagrams.Hanes and (Max Ellery is the other brand I think, someone correct me if Im wrong)These ones have very vague wiring diagrams.
